Introduction of x intercept :
X intercept is the point where the equation cuts the X-axis.In this equation the the X-axis is cut more than once, some times it may not cut the X-axis also, so for a given equation there can be 0 or more number of X-intercepts.x-intercept is denoted by (X,Y) coordinates, where Y=0 always, since the point lies on X- axis. to find X-intercepts we plug in 0 in Y in given equation. the following diagram shows the x intercepts.

In the Graph shown , we have three equations A(x),B(x) and C(x). both A(x) has 2 x-intercepts and B(x) have one x- intercept and C(x) has no x-intercept.

step 1: plug in y=0 in the given equation
step 2: solve for x
step 3: after finding x intercepts write them in (x,0)
